Relief Society Brithday Party

Happy Birthday Relief Society! Mapleton 12th Ward celebrated with all the Sisters and Laurels for an evening of great food, fabulous fingernails, sugar scrubs and massages! Thank you for all those that helped bring food, and helped with setting and cleaning up. Sandra Bastian gave us the history of the Relief Society and encouraged us to reach out to others. Our energetic hostess Missy Child had a fun purse game where prizes were given to speedy participants. The best dressed award went to Betsy Ferguson and Jenn Walker. We appreciate all of you coming and hope you had an enjoyable evening of pampering. Please comment on the post box below.

IT heals a Heavy Heart

This past week we were reminded of the beautiful counsel given in Proverbs 3:5-6
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart...and He shall direct thy paths."

Many of us have learned that this promise is true as we have faced countless struggles and burdens in our lives, but let us not forget the real healing of the heart comes through forgetting ourselves and SERVING others. To see a smile on another as we lift their burdens helps us to forget ours! IT is the BEST Medicine to all that ails us. Service comes in many forms; a listening ear, a sincere heart, a SMILE, food, cleaning, phone calls, a note, dropping by to just say "hi", TAKING the TIME!

To those who may be facing a difficult challenge please know that YOU are loved!
